Full privacy notice (English)
Never send us a recovery phrase, private key, PIN or passkey credential. Support and email verification do not need them. A verified email cannot restore lost Bitcoin wallet keys.
Wallet and payment information
GetYourSats is intended as a self-custodial wallet built using the Breez Spark SDK. Wallet signing keys and recovery information are handled by the app and your chosen device/passkey recovery mechanism. Spark operators and related Lightning/payment services necessarily process technical wallet identities, payment requests and settlement data to provide network functionality. Bitcoin on-chain transactions are publicly visible.
Device and passkeys
Your device or password manager manages passkey authentication. GetYourSats does not need your biometric image or operating-system unlock PIN. A manually created recovery phrase should remain private and offline; the wallet may retain local wallet state for reconnection. Clearing browser or PWA storage may compromise access if you have no independent backup.
Optional email verification and Lightning names
When optional email verification is enabled and you choose to use it, GetYourSats stores your email address linked to your public wallet identity and a verification timestamp in Upstash. The verification flow uses wallet-signed challenges and temporary code verification records. Challenges expire after five minutes and verification codes expire after 10 minutes. Resend delivers the verification emails. The verified email link has no automatic expiry and remains stored until a supported removal process is completed. Email is not a wallet sign-in or recovery method and cannot restore funds.
When personalized Lightning names are enabled, registering or changing a public username@getyoursats.com address through Breez requires a verified email linked to that wallet. Receiving payments through an existing address does not require an email check. A Lightning address is public and can be looked up by anyone who knows it.
Service providers and operation
Vercel provides the website and deployment platform. Breez and Spark network services support wallet operations. If enabled, a third-party fiat on-ramp manages its own purchase flow, eligibility and KYC under its separate terms; GetYourSats does not currently represent that a purchase can be completed in the app.
Support and deletion
If you contact us, we process the information you submit in the support conversation. For privacy inquiries, questions about stored account information or requests to unlink an email or unregister a Lightning address, use the private contact form. Requests are reviewed; submitting the form does not automatically delete records or unregister an address. We may request proof that you control the linked wallet, but never your recovery words, private keys or passkey credentials.
Logging out, clearing browser storage or deleting the app does not automatically unlink a verified email or unregister a Lightning address. Removing server-held account information does not erase public Bitcoin transactions or records controlled by other services.
Updates
We may revise this notice as additional services become operational. Published product claims should reflect the actual deployed wallet and verified integrations. Last updated: 26 October 2026.
